There has been new advancements in the field of nursing over the last few decades. The changes are evidently beneficial to the nursing care by ensuring that patients receive holistic and satisfactory services. The recent developments take credit from intensive scientific research and technology. The philosophy of science results into better technology together with better ways of improving the healthcare industry. Improving customer service in the healthcare industry requires implementation and application of scientific research. Customer satisfaction is at the core of any strategy. The presence of patients in healthcare facilities continues to boost this industry. The presence of science philosophy in today’s medical practice cannot go unnoticed. This is heightened by the fact that new discoveries from scientific research and other technological advancements are at the core of provision of healthcare in all countries. Additionally, new advancements in diagnosis and treatment create a foundation through which the nursing industry operates. All these advantages are made possible by the presence of better scientific research in nursing (Roberts, 2017).

Following the essentials of master’s education nursing is in line with scientific research. A nurse who is at this level and follows the essentials must be involved in extensive scientific research. To an extent, research is imperative in ensuring that the practicing nurse is well versed ongoing trends in the field. This improves his/her practice and consequently improves public health. A master’s prepared nurse carries out extensive research to increase his/her level of information literacy which is then applied in driving better clinical decisions. Additionally, evidence-based research is vital in advancing in the field and staying updated.
