Assume you have a receptive audience, and report using the direct plan.
Document your sources
Format your report as a memo addressed to me if you are making a recommendation to Algonquin College. Format it as a letter addressed to someone at your chosen company if you are making a recommendation to a different organization.
Include at least one level of headings.
Include at least one visual.
Your information report assignment will require that you have at least one appendix
Information you want to supply the reader that would interrupt the flow of the report if you included it in the body
Examples: Charts, graphs, interview questions, schedules, calculations
Appendix goes at the end of the report after your References
Appendices should be labeled (Appendix A, Appendix B, etc.)
Put them in the order they are referred to in the document
Specify what is in the appendix and provide the source
