Using skills of inquiry gained in the baccalaureate nursing program,the student will demonstrate an appreciation for diversity of the human experience in the development ofthis project. Additionally, the project presents an opportunity for the student to demonstrate knowledge ofcultural values and ethical considerations and incorporate other disciplines from the health care teamwhen developing a plan for addressing a clinical nursing issue.The first part of the project, the Capstone Evidence-based Clinical Project Part I, provided the foundationfor this final paper, including the topic and an initial search of the literature. The student is now ready togather additional background information on the clinical problem and more deeply explore the literaturethat addresses the issue and solution options. When developing the completed evidence-based project,the student is expected to reflect on the knowledge and experience gained in the nursing program and tocontinue to draw from the four domains of the NCLEX-RN examination blueprint: assurance of a safe andeffective care environment, health promotion and maintenance of health, and the preservation of thepatient’s psychosocial and physiological integrityCOURSE OUTCOMESThis assignment enables the student to meet the following course outcomes .CO # 1: Synthesize knowledge from sciences, humanities, and nursing in managing the needs ofhumans as consumers of healthcare in a patient-centered environment.
