You’ve had a chance to write and reflect on your own example of a person or organization that is doing a good job or a poor job with a value we are studying in the class.

Now, write up a recipe for improvement or a recipe for success for others!

What You’ll Do

Read/Review/Write: One Complete Idea/Example (Spend 5-10 minutes)

Review what you and others wrote for good examples or poor examples. Decide what you are going to move forward with (you do not have to choose yours–you can choose someone else’s!). Clearly identify and write down the example that you are choosing.

Write a Complete Recipe (or Approximately 20 minutes)

You will now write a recipe! If you chose to focus on the good job example, then you will write a recipe for success. If you chose to focus on the poor job example, you will write a recipe for improvement. Write the recipe this way–you need to have three components: ingredients, method, and a picture. Parts of your recipe ingredients could include: resources, values, or technologies. Then, in your method portion, you are discussing how to combine the elements (ingredients) together to form a successful recipe or a recipe for improvement. Finally, find or draw a picture to complement your recipe. See below for a recipe example (taken from this source)
