In this assignment we will take a global look at sugar, its origin, history, and development.

How did sugar migrate from its origins? How did it become a precious commodity in the Western world? What were the effects of sugar and slavery in the Americas? In general, what are the effects of sugar on producers and consumers of 

sugar from a global perspective?
