“Firoozeh writes about being lost at Disneyland. Have you ever been lost? Describe what happened and how you felt.”

Yes I have been lost before, and it happened at the mall. This happened when I was 10 or so, I was new in the States by that moment and I wanted to go shopping  with my mom and to know new places.

It was just her and me and when we got there, I was really excited because it was a new different place for me and I was not used to see those kind of places in my home country.  When we got in, I was fascinated with all the stores that were in there, kiosks and restaurants. The first 2 hours, we were just looking around and after that we stopped by a restaurant to eat something. 

After those 2 hours was the moment when this all happened. We finished eating, and my mom saw a X Store which we went in there, she was trying to find something, and I got distracted with some jewelry I saw on a little table. Like I said, I got distracted for two minutes, and when I went back to where my mom was, she was not there. I looked for the whole store and I even asked the employees and they did not notice anything.

I got really panicked and nervious and one of the employees helped me to get to a Security Guard. They were trying to help me but that Mall was huge and it seemed imposible to find her. I started crying and I was scared, 15 minutes passed and other Security notified the one that was with me that there was a lady looking for her daughter which it was me. I started crying more and they calmed me down. They took me to the main entrance and she was there, I blamed her for what happened because she always gets lost when she goes to the mall.
