Topic Development and Preliminary Literature Review

For this assignment, you may use work you completed in BMGT8028 as a starting point, along with the work you have done in previous units of this course.

Assignment Preparation

• Begin by reviewing the work you have done previously in this course and revising it as needed based on guidance and feedback from your instructor.
  • From Unit 1, review your selection of a research topic area in your specialization.
  • From Unit 2, review the Scholarly Research Log and Database Log in which you have been tracking your search strategy.
  • Fill in the Preliminary Search Action Plan linked in the Resources (OPTIONAL – You will NOT submit this in your assignment)
  • Note that you will need to include the Scholarly Research Log and Database Log with this assignment.
• Make use of the information and resources from the Unit 2 and Unit 3 Studies as you continue your review of the literature.

Assignment Instructions

Continue to track your search strategy in your Scholarly Research Log and Database Log. In the assignment, you will use Week 3 of your Progress Report to provide the following.

• Identify a minimum of 10 new articles from the keywords used, focusing on not only the topical area of research but also begin to identify the threads or streams of literature emerging from the topical area.
• Develop an annotated bibliography of all articles that emerged from the results of your search in both Units 2 and 3 and include it in your assignment under the header Week 3 annotated bibliographies. At this point, you will have a minimum of 15 articles.

Update your Scholarly Research Log and Database Log for all of the columns provided in the log and attach to the assignment submission.
