Final Research Essay

Basic Assignment: Write an essay that reflects your interest through focusing your ideas on one of the readings of our class. You have to create a process in which you use literary analysis that creates an atmosphere of critical thinking, where you create an original thesis statement focused and arguable. Then you should work on supporting and developing the thesis by breaking down your points into paragraphs, each highlighting part of the central claim of the essay. Critical thinking engages creative thinking, innovation inquiry, analysis, evaluation, and synthesis of information. The selection of the Final Research Essay’s texts, you choose, should be different from the topics of both Essay one and Essay two.

Requirements: You are expected to write an essay that:

Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the topic,

Presents an original, compelling argument,

Thoughtfully analyzes the text’s formal elements,

Uses appropriate and insightful examples,

Structures ideas in a logical and progressive order,

Demonstrates a mastery of sentence construction, transition, grammar, spelling, and word choice

My expectations for this paper are fundamental:

• A paper topic that follows the instructions above,

• A thesis statement or central claim that organizes the argument,

• A clear, logical organization,

• The use of textual evidence to support your thesis and main points,

• Coherent, logical explanation of textual evidence that supports the thesis and main points,

• And Clear and correct prose.
