An annotated bibliography is a list of your sources in bibliographic style (also called works cited) along with annotations.

Using MLA citation and using the library resources, create a list of four sources that you found the past few weeks for your research essay. At least two sources should be from academic, peer-reviewed journals, but you can also include credible sources such as credible journals, magazines, editorials, films, and other media. All four sources should be evaluated as worthy of use. 

After listing the four sources in correct MLA format, create annotations for your sources. The annotations will serve three purposes that align with the guidelines on the Purdue OWL website.

Example: The annotation should appear below each source’s bibliographic information and include information relating to all of the three points mentioned above. Here is an example of how an annotation may look:

Doe, John. “The Article of Things that are Important.” The Journal of Important Things, vol. #, no. #, Date, URL. Accessed 15 August 2017. 

This paragraph will assess the credibility of John Doe as well as the publisher. Briefly summarize the piece and assess any potential biases. Be sure to include points particularly relevant to your research. Finally, discuss how you plan to use the source in your paper. 

Use double-spacing between each bibliographic entry and its annotation. Please note that the entry and annotation should use single-spacing. Please save your file as either a .pdf or .doc and name the file with your last name and assignment title. Example: Felton_Annotated Bibliography.
