A)   The notorious premiere of Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring (1913) ended in a riot, with audience members shouting and even fighting over what they believed was an attempt to destroy all that was beautiful in music.

1.     Post a discussion consisting of 100-120 words, discussing your opinions regarding the seemingly divisive nature of certain artists, styles, or pieces of music. Are there any other musical examples that you feel have "drawn a line in the sand," and galvanized the public to choose a side either for or against something?
