Social Media scholar, Sherry Turkle (2016) has written a fascinating book, Recovering Conversation, on the changes we have experienced in conversation due to social media and the ways in which our ability to converse with each other have changed. You have recorded field notes from these conversations and they provide research into the nature and development of interpersonal relationships. 

For this paper, you need to review your conversations from the beginning to the present. As you read and re-read the turns at talk each of you had in response to the others disclosures apply ideas we have explored in the textbook and lecture presentations. Discuss in this paper the benefits and significance of this friendship in your life.  In what ways do the theories that we have explored help you to understand what occurred in the conversations? In what ways did the conversations impact your friendship? How well did you listen?  What did you learn about yourself as a communicator?

Do not structure this paper by going through each week, one by one, and reporting what happened. I have access to your field notes and have read them. You should not re-create the conversation in the paper. Rather, you should bring your skills in application of communication theory and scholarship in relationship to show how you understand this friendship.
